A record year for BEV sales - almost 14 million sold worldwide.  Also a record year for the UK, accounting for 16.5% of all new car sales.

2021 was a record breaking year for EV sales with 190,727 battery electric vehicle registered which was more than the last 5 years combined.  2022 is set to break even more records with over 40% of of car models now available as plug-ins.

The cost of running an electric car is now substantially cheaper than the equivalent petrol or diesel car - 2021 is expected to see an increasing switch by fleet operators to cleaner fuelled vehicles.
